Bowker's MyIdentifiers website is an ecommerce site that offers resources for authors to self-publish their books. It is the only authorized agency in the United States to purchase ISBN numbers for books.
The User
Self-published authors who are looking for ISBN numbers and marketing methods to get their books noticed.
My Role
On this project I was lead designer and performed:
• UX/UI Design
• Front end dev - HTML and CSS
The Solution
Redesign the site to be responsive, have better search ranking, and provide a better shopping experience for users by creating uniformed product pages.
Out with the old
The old MyIdentifiers site was more than a decade old. The shopping experience was not good. With no design or brand guidelines, there was multicolored text throughout and no consistent call to action or checkout styling. It also was not mobile responsive, nor did it rank well in searches.

Layout and Organization
A 3 column layout (left) was the base layout for product pages, with some variations, to allow for some products having more information or other media, such as video.
With a 3 column layout established, I reserved the right column to list the product options. This accommodated most all of the products, with a few exceptions.

Some products had more options, or required more information to be shown, so an alternative call to action within horizontal cards was also used.
